Welcome to the Term 1 2024 season of Tennis

Venue and Times:  

Games are on Thursdays after school at the Stevenson Tennis Centre, Logan Park.  

Start and End Dates:  Thursday 15th February 2024 - Thursday 21st March 2024

Fees:  Fees are $40 per person (for term 1), fees include entry to Logan Park Tennis Courts.  Fees can be paid at the school office or on-line using the account number: 12 3485 0014040 50, please remeber to put your daughters name and tennis fees.

Uniform:  Navy blue shorts or tracksuit pants, OGHS Tennis top will be provided once fees are paid and online school registration form is filled in.  YOU DO REQUIRE YOUR OWN TENNIS RACKET. 

Format of games:

There are 2 time slots to choose from they are as follows:

Time 1:    4.10pm - 5.10pm Will be coaching sessions.

Time 2:    5.15pm - 6.15pm Competition this will be the doubles competition slot. Opponents and court allocation will be decided on the day. Students need to report to the convenor at the 5:15pm to be assigned courts and opponents. Two matches will be played each day, a whistle after 25mins will indicate when to change opponent.

Failure to turn up for a game:  If for some reason your team cannot play one week, you must inform Ms Hokianga (hk@otagogirls.school.nz)or Mrs Cole (ce@otagogirls.school.nz) before 11am on Thursdays.  (It must be a good reason!)   

Cancellations:  We will be informed by 12:30pm each Thursday if rain cancellations have been made for Logan Park.  Cancellation notices will be posted around school, and via the school app.

Lunchtime Training:  The OGHS tennis courts behind the gym are available for your use during lunch hour, please contact Ms Hokianga or Mrs Cole if you would like extra coaching.
